William Vollero, MD
William Vollero, M.D., treats adults and seniors of all ages. He has particular expertise in geriatric psychiatry, in which he has board certification, and treats a broad range of psychiatric conditions and populations. He is committed to helping the underserved and has consulted for the homeless mentally ill of Santa Barbara County and the developmentally disabled through the Tri-Counties Regional Center. He serves as a member of Physicians for Social Responsibility. He has worked in many other community service positions while simultaneously conducting a private practice of psychiatry for over thirty years.
He is a clinical associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Southern California. He has served as the chief of staff, medical director of geriatric psychiatry, medical director of psychiatric partial hospitalization and in multiple other leadership positions at Methodist Hospital of Southern California. He also serves as medical staff for several other hospitals. He is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a member of multiple other professional associations in psychiatry, and has served as the president of the section on psychiatry of the Los Angeles County Medical Association.
Dr. Vollero earned his medical degree at Tufts University and conducted his psychiatric residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center. He attended Yale as an undergraduate.
