Adham Malaty, M.D., treats adults and seniors of all ages. He specializes in working with patients on issues related to, though not limited to: Anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), PTSD, psychotic disorders including schizophrenia, ADHD, insomnias and addiction.
Dr. Malaty earned his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He then went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Malaty is double board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and Addiction Medicine (ABPM). He has a license to prescribe Buprenorphine. In addition to his outpatient practice at LifeStance Health, Dr. Malaty is on medical staff at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and serves on hospital committees.
Dr. Malaty’s training at the Cleveland clinic prepared him well to manage mental health disorders associated with epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, cancers and women’s mental health including antepartum and postpartum mood disorders.
Dr. Malaty takes pride in offering counseling along with medication management services. He is fluent in both English and Arabic. Dr. Malaty played Water Polo competitively for 12 years.
